About Charles A. Cohn

Charles A. Cohn earned his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, Medill School of Journalism. He received his J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law, where he wrote for and was editor of the law school student newspaper, Cause of Action. 

Admitted to practice in Illinois Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the 7th Circuit Court appeals, Charles Cohn also practices in the fields of personal injury accident claims, worker’s compensation and Social Security disability. 

He has years of experience as an appellate writer and advocate. Over the years, he’s handled appeals in cases involving personal injury, insurance coverage issues, worker’s compensation, employee claims, and various other areas. 

He is an experienced trial advocate in personal injury cases, with many years of experience handling negotiation and representing clients at trial in personal injury and worker’s compensation cases for those hurt on the job.

About Erwin Cohn (Of Counsel-Retired)

Erwin Cohn received his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois and earned his J.D. at the University of Illinois College of Law. He has many years of experience in Illinois trial and appellate courts, the U.S. District Court, the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, and before administrative law judges of the Social Security Administration. 

He also has many years of experience in arbitration cases before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and FINRA, the financial industry regulatory agency, and is certified to serve as an arbitrator for AAA for uninsured motorist cases. 

Over his many years of practice, he has handled all types of personal injury accident and injured worker claims, as well as Social Security disability claims. His work before Social Security administrative law judges has resulted in numerous claims for those who are disabled and can no longer work. 

He is also an experienced litigator before arbitration panels of FINRA, bringing claims against stockbrokers and brokerage firms for misconduct, negligence, and incompetence in representing private investors who have suffered losses due to bad broker’s advice, or unauthorized or incompetent trading of customer’s accounts.
